ASM unban question
is it possible to buy asm and get unbanned after i was already banned?

Nope, the unban only works on the account it was purchased on, so obviously it must be purchased before the ban.
You can't buy it on account A and use it to unban account B.

awesome... because quoting porn deserves a perma ban when its a nat geo pic... the rules say post porn is bannable but nothing about quoting.. especially when i quote the post saying that i will be reporting it for porn

Quoting something is exactly the same as posting it yourself. It's widely known that nudity of any kind is not allowed here, so why would you quote it?

im not the one that brought in the nudity am i? its already in the thread, not like i went out found the image... i realize that yes it was nudity but i think that a perma ban for a quote is pretty extreme considering i was saying i was reporting the original post. ban the guy who brought it in fine but for a quote i feel a temp ban would have got the point across considering i wouldnt go out and find porn and post it in here. the only thing frustrating is that i lose my feedback for some other *******s post.

im saying i get where you are coming from but since i am not the one that brought the nudity to the website a perma ban is a bit unreasonable, i did not realize that quoting it mattered since its already there, i now realize that isnt the case, if i wanted to post porn i would have made this account and done so. obviously i am not the original poster of the picture, i cant get switched to a temp ban for that?
and if someone insults another member and gets an infraction, then i come along and quote that, do i also get an infraction for insult that member..

Take a minute and calm down.
Then go and read the part of the FAQ about porn. I believe it does mention quoting it.
The problem with quoting such inappropriate material is that it means it's just one more thing we have to come in later and clean up. Plus, people who didn't see the original might see your post.
We did try out an Amnesty program last year where people were allowed to purchase ASM to regain an old account. If you can understand why you were in the wrong, I can see about getting your account back.

im not raging or trying to sound that way im just a bit frustrated that i was perma banned. i obviously know that i shouldn't have quoted that now. I guess i didnt think about it that way. i just now saw that under the what is porn in the faq. so i am sorry i did not see that.
