Yeah that milling is phenomenal. And you could use the info to hunt down whoever put that god awful detent on it. There is a special level in hell for people that do things like that.

Based on the slope of the breech block, i would say the 2001 LCD was the base marker.
As for the milling. Good luck.

Gotta go with you on that one, LOL. I'd gone with CP detents myself.

It is called the nymph. They were made somewhere deep in Europe. Not sure how many were made. What is up with his partners pants? That is the real question.

More accurately, from my understanding, it, singular, was made in Germany. Custom milled 1-off gun. Depending on whose rumor mill you trust, it was done with a manual mill, or it was done entirely by hand and took 1 gajillion man-hours to finish. I sincerely doubt both of those claims. A lot of those fine details have been lost to the mythos over the years. But yeah, it has come to be known as the Nymph.

As a former machinist I'm almost sure that this can be done on a 3 or 4 axis mill, right Doc??????

Yeah, I'm sure it could. What I doubt is that it was done on a manual, let alone by hand. The symmetry and finish look too perfect. I'm sure it was probably just a custom CNC job.

After this many years I'd be shocked if it were still around. Besides, who wants to knock off somebody else's custom creation? Do something uniquely yours.

If you remove the "internal tube" look, it looks alot like the old "glued" spanky fishbones. I wonder if you couldnt just mill straight through and then glue in an internal tube.
Hmm, i may have just found a use for that spare body i ended up with.

You could sleeve it. It would be pretty damn easy with a machine shop.

I'm not the right person for that job. I would be much too expensive because I would take way too much time. There are plenty of crafty machinists who could do something like this. Although you will wind up paying close to 1000 dollars for the work. Best person to talk to would be Xmagterror over on AO. Good luck.

All I gotta say it Thank you Triggernomics for all the help and men you made some mean Autocockers back in the day, seeing all the custom gats you made just makes me want to get going on my Angel Project. You still the man!!!!

What a ridiculously sick Angel. That thing looks mean...just like an angel should look. I wish I knew more about it and could give you some information on it!

Well wait a minute now, that thing finally rang some bells. I saw that gun when it was in the early stages of making. The slots in the breech and in the front/ barrel area weren't in there yet, but the back was all there. That was in 2003 I believe.
Yes it is hand carved, and yes it was made in Germany. I don't know how long it took, but I could say it would take me around 100-150 hours to do.
I believe the guy's name was Thomas, playing for a semi-pro team near Karlsruhe. When I told him that I liked to carve guns too he didn't really seem to be really interested in talking shop, so we left it at that. Never saw him again.
Sorry I didn't catch that right off DB, but I'm glad I could at least still let you know. Good luck on your project!
