Tank size

itI need to buy a tank and am trying to decide on just buying a 45/3000 or going bigger to a 45/45 or a 68/45.

Pretty much for me comes down to price, $50ish for a new Ninja 45/3000, $100 or so for a used 45/45 or 68/45, or go big and get a new one for $150+.

Is there anything against just a smaller 45/3000?

*edit: I should add it's an autococker sniper.

45/4500 should be plenty. Unless you want a 68/4500 for several days of play.

Yeah the 68/45 is a little overkill.

I was wondering more if I could squeak with a 45/30? I know I'd have to fill maybe once or twice a day of play.

45/3000 is a steely tank and "heavy". just search in the air system for a cf tank and you can find them under $100 all day long. you could actually get a 68/3k real cheap but I would stay away from anything with a PE reg. (i can stand them)

Weight isn't an issue, it's less than a pound. I'm 6'3" 290 so a 2.5 pound tank isn't gonna kill me.

Only reason I would get a new besides the price is that I'll have a full 5 year hydro. Last used tank I bought was a fiasco (long story containing pics from two different tanks, not sending and the kids mom getting involved) and the tank was up in 2 months.

Does you local field fill to 4.5k? If so I would get a 45/45 or a 50/45. I know you said weight wasn't an issue but have you looked into a 13/3k? I use my 13 more than I do my 45.

Even though the 45/3000 weights more, the weight alone isnt what makes it less desireable, It really throws off the balance. You can find a 45/45 for 70-100 its worth the extra money. even then i can get usually 2 days or so of play out of it. ill make the point since your taller you probibly wont want a 50/45. im 6'3 and the stubby tank puts the gun too close to my face and i hit my self in the mask all the time and my arms are at an awkward position.

That was another thought behind the 45/3000. It seems a little longer.

I'm gonna go for the 45/45. I know the field has 45 and 30 fills. But not sure at the other field we'll be playing at.

Yeah I'm used to the 68/45. I had a Ninja one for my Ego and I loved it. Sold it due to thoughts of not playing anymore after a knee injury
