Also, most Pro-Shops come with a free one-year warranty, so if anything breaks they'll fix it quickly and without charge. A gun from E-bay may or may not be used, while most pro-shop guns are brand new. Just some things to think about!

If you purchase that marker on ebay, you are generally only filling someones pockets with money...

When you purchase it from a local store, you are supporting the local economy, a local family, employees and helping pay the bills.

Buy local if you can! If you bring that ebay marker to your local store, be prepared to pay for repairs - but if you buy it from your store, they will most likely repair it for free!

I dont know about where you live but if I was to buy one here in Hawaii and it breaks down the pro-shop will fix it free of charge and what makes it even better is you dont have to pay for shipping like you would have to do online

The only up side to me from buying online is that you have a wider verity of colors and styles to chose from. Good luck to you.

Typically if you buy from a pro shop you can always take it to them for teching/issues for a minimal/discounted cost while on ebay you're on your own or would have to either send it in or pay more at a pro shop to fix it.

It pretty much sums it up. I feel sorry for everyone here who doesn't have a store around them that is worth their business. I never understood why some stores and fields have such an elitist view =/

Anyway, to answer the original question, again:

1) No chance of being scammed
2) Store warranty + manufacturer's warranty
3) A stronger relationship leading to benefits long term
4) Easier access to tech services

The only cons being color selection really. Although, most fields are more than happy to order in the color if they don't have it in stock, like us.

I would love to support my local pro shop, but it is over 2 hours away, and 3 hours away from my local field...

Few stores offer free tech service or a warranty since most manufacturers will fix the product for free no matter where you buy it.

MSRP(manufacturer's suggested retail price) is the highest price you should see a gun at. Most stores don't sell as high as the MSRP.

There are only a handful of businesses than anodize guns across the nation, the odds of having one in your town are quite slim.

Not everyone in america lives near the "pbmegastore." 90% of stores are only good for paint and will rip you off when it comes to product(many will rip you off on paint), though half of the fields are FPO. So, local paintball is only shooting itself in the foot.
