Angel Pump #2?
******************Update 2-28-2013******************
A couple new pics and video of auto trigger installed further down.
**************************************************
Hi All,
To start off, I got my inspiration from kill-n-spree and his Angel pump http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.p...646&highlight= . He gave me the idea and motivation to do this. I wanted to do a single trigger electronic pump of some kind and have been into angels for a while. I found a single trigger Adrenaline LED on eBay that was completely apart, in need of work and a good home. So I snatched it up and when it got here it needed a board, had a stripped feedneck and screws, the breach rods had to be drilled out, and it needed a pretty severe internal cleaning. So after I crammed a Proto board into it with a 9 volt, a couple thread repairs, some epoxy and love, the gun shot great.
Anywho, a couple days of work later, some extra parts I had lying around and a modified pump handle from CCM I now have a Angel pump that was scrounged together for about 240 bucks including the cost of the gun.
Since it uses the normal ram/electronics to fire, its pump is stupid smooth as you only have to move the bolt back and forth. I haven't seen internal pictures from kill-n-spree but he said he could switch back to semi by turning the bolt back to the normal ram tube. I think the milling I did to mine is the same as I can just switch the bolt back over and it fires in semi like it was designed to do in the first place. The pump arm is internal as well with a spare hammer attached to it, just backwards.
Anywho, here are some pictures I hope you enjoy I cant wait to get out and shoot it.
And to the purists who are going to yell at me for cutting into a Adrenaline, the stock battery plug, and volumizer can be screwed back on and you would never know it was touched. Plus I feel I saved it from a slow decay in a box somewhere

Nice job. That is exactly how I did it. You should of had a machine shop mill the slots in the body and door. Haha. Was that a dremel job or hand tools? Now if you bump the dwell way up like 28-30ms you can cut the operating pressure in half. You can also pull the shims out of the LPR. I made all my parts from scratch, looked like you were pretty resourceful. Is everything good and stable? You didn't break any sacred laws by cutting up that LED. It already had a stripped out feedneck.

I used a press/machining bits for it. The picture makes the breach look rougher than it is... its more even in person I was trying to do it all myself (-:
I got the LPR down to about 65 and have been messing with it a bit, then it got dark. Ill work it lower and try your settings to see how it does. I used brass inside the pump handle and as a guide for the pump rod so its smooth and should get better as it breaks in. Did you use an ERA mod for the pump handle? I had one lying around and used it as part of the guide rod. I was surprised at how little movement the pump handle has, its pretty stable for only having two rods.

I have a question since I have the chance... Ever since I've seen the micro hoses running from the noid to the feedneck I've wondered what their function was... Does it just blow exhaust ram air onto the paint to give it a little push into the breech?

^^^^Yes, that is all the air assist does. They got the idea from the 4x4 shocker.
DH. I did not use the era mod. I turned the guides from scratch on a lathe. My pump arm runs through the center of my guide and is hidden from the elemnts and I made a delrin sleeve that my stainless steel pump arm rides through. In my picture you can see a lock down screw in my breach. I used that to set my forward stroke. If you don't have a stop on the forward and back stroke you will have problem with the bolt tip going to far forward and the bolt pin mashing the door and body.I made my own hammer to hold the bolt from delrin as well and it has a urathane bumper on the front so it is a nice pump stroke that is silent with no clanking sounds.I have been beating on mine for about 14 months now and everything is well broken in and super smooth.

thats awesome! Sexy pump, and good to see that AA went to a good home! I haven't started my pump conversion yet, I want to make it fully mechanical, no more electronics...
I'm a little pissed you used an LED though, thats what I have set aside too Mines just a LE LED not my Lava LED AA though, I'm gonna have to cut her loose to a new home...

Keep the pump hand strong

I only wish you had gone with CCM's red sparkle handle. I've seen it in person, and it would really work.

Very sharp. I added you to the Angel Registry, too, since there's a clear shot of the serial number.

It seems like there is something wrong with the idea of electronic pump but these a some sweet guns. Its cool that you can switch them back for normal use so easily.

I used to think that, too. Then I tried out an MQ'd T2. Sure, you have to pump the gun, but the trigger pull was amazing. I don't think they're "legal" for pump tournament play, but they're really neat to just have fun with.
