Mokal Aura upgrades????!
I'm thinking about buying an Aura (The 2011 model of course). I was wondering which upgrades do you guys prefer if any?
I know i'll get a new barrel but the grips look HORRID
What kind of grips are they? Like the standard .45?
Any ideas?

Grips should be fine, they look like legend grips which are awesome. (hopefully this doesn't count as necro)
Just get a good barrel, the rest seems un-upgradable.

I own one, literaly my favorite gun ive owned. They shoot like a well tuned ego as far as pop and trajectory. Probably a bit smoother. They are tiny and rediculously comfy. The first think I did was take out the trigger spring now it rips. The grips are non replaceable as far as i can tell, they hold the trigger pin in place.

I own one also, they do shoot really nice! There's not really anything to upgrade besides the barrel tho. P.m. Me if you want to buy a lightly used one

Grips look bad but are oddly very nice.

This is a sweet gun. Grips aren't bad. I am glad they don't wrap around the back to make it feel big. Really only your bottom 2 fingers and the palm of your hand touches the grips and these are nice and flat which I would rather have. Not sure why so many people worry about grips when you have a glove on, you don't feel the grips all that much and when you really get on the trigger, most players don't even touch the grips. The trigger is the key and this one has a nice trigger.

there are uppgrades if u go to valkens website and look under the valken proton there is a roller trigger tht a can get also lots of spare parts considering that mokal went in with valken to make the new 2012 valken proton they are the same gun just small slight diffrences in them.

You can NOT use the Proton trigger in the Aura. The geometry is way off. Also, the Aura has a trigger pin while the Proton has a set screw holding the trigger in place.

Its not the same exact marker, Valken made some changes.
Just because you read something on Pbnation doesnt make it right.

I dont have to. The engineer who helped redesign the trigger group, body, and grip is in the office next to my shop...which happens to be at Valken, in NJ.
