It's definitely the cup seal. It's either seperated, not seated properly, not broken in, or possibly just dirty. We'd have to know what internals you're running. You can start by pulling out the valve stem and cleaning the cup seal, maybe rub a little synthetic marker oil on it.

D-lite stem is a nessecity if the seal is separated from the stem. It completely removes that issue from happening again and only runs $10.

Got the d lite stem today and is the cup seal the pice the stem sits in or the black gasket on top of the breech?

the cupseal is the big button-like thing on the backside of the valve that seals it off. It's attached to the valve stem.

That's the valve stem assembly. The white plastic disc is the cup seal.

The D-Lite stem is a complete replacement for the stock valve stem. It's all 1 piece - there is no separate cup seal component. That's the entire point of the D-Lite - the cup seal can't become separated from the stem.
