After I shoot the solenoid stays open longer then it should it seems. Sometimes it just stays open and air continues to come out. Took it apart and the red ball looks more like an oval. Question is, is the whole solenoid gone or is the red ball causing this?

If the solenoid back check ball is out of round, then it won't be sealing off the air in the firing chamber when the marker fires. Velocity and efficiency will suffer, and the solenoid will be venting much more air with each cycle. Not sure if that describes the issue you are having? So, not sure if this is the one and only cause of your problem, but definitely the ball is something that needs replacing. I would suggest dealing with that, and then seeing if there are any other issues that need to be resolved.
