Fixing tank threads

How am i able to fix my threads on my tank, 1 side of them are kind or damaged.

Any way to fix this other than buying a new regulator?

How bad are they damaged? If they arent to bad you can take them to a local machine shop they can fix them.

my tank threads were damaged a little bit and i took my tank to my pro shop and they just recut the threads for me and everythings fine now

It really depends if they were just bent a little bit say from hitting the ground then re cutting them possibly just reshaped them. but i would be careful because it takes material off the reg and makes the threads weaker and could cause the bottle to come out of the asa and cause other issues. i would look into a new reg asap

all you can do is reshape them with a 1/2 nps die. do not make the mistake of running 1/2 npt die.

It really depends on how bad your threads are damaged. You might be able to run it into an old steel asa or an aluminum one depending on the material. Worst come to worst you have to buy a new bonnet or reg.
