i fell in love with the wedging and de wedging instantly. it is so easy to kick off because of how low it is
edit: i bought 2 sets of 1/4 inch risers so i can go between 1/4 and 1/2 depending on what i need

Wedging and dewedging can be done with baseplates and wedges on a topmount very easilly. To me, ease of pushing is not a relivant factor for a DH deck. Topmount performance > *
How are prices for houses/renting in cali? hahahaha forreal though. me and two other buddies have been contemplating getting the **** out of missouri cause it's like america's butthole. If any of this makes sense hahaha.
Were actually considering portland pretty hard right now. All I'm doing this year is saving money and longboarding.
The best way to look into it is through craigslist. Type in the zip codes of the places you guys are interested in moving to and shop around. It should give you a good idea of housing prices for each area.
I see what you are saying but The dropped platform matters to me because i only have 2 boards a tech sliding board and my chinook. I am using it for dh, cruising and some pushing.
It's all preference in the end of course. I only own topmounts and cruise with them as well. If you like the feel of a drop deck for dh and everything else, then enjoy it!
I do sometimes get tired with my backpack on commuting with my topmount, but the extra effort doesn't impact me enough to invest in a drop-thru or double drop ect... Coming from a snowboard background, the hammock feel of a drop deck just doesn't feel right to me.

It really depends on where in Cali. Obviously the nicer areas will be expensive, but there are definitely cost effective places to live that arent too far from the action.
i would work i guess. is there anything about that vid that isnt confusing. i slowly start tilting the cam and you can see the thumb to my loaded freeride glove the entire time.
