For the longest time I shot and ion first gun I got with my own money and I never got a gun new and these 11-13 your old would rip me lol.

In this sport there is a real sense of pride when it comes to owning nice gear, how ever you define "Nice gear" is more of a personal matter. Ive seen people gleaming to show off their custom cockers and people who swear by their Dyes and egos. But no matter what you see as nice, it usually dident appear in your possession over night. People spend months or years collecting everything they need to get the perfect setup and no matter what kind of gun you shoot it always comes down to Time and money and along the way, you get a real respect and appreciation for the value of a dollar and your gear.

So it is no surprise that when a kid shows up with Mid to high end stuff and proceeds to disrespect it, that the paintball community who has worked for their gear would look down on that kid. And there is a real prejudice against kids who are lucky enough to own nice stuff, because the stereotype is there.

But when you really look at it, I don't think you can really blame the kids for not respecting their gear. They have limited life experience and have not had a real job or know what it takes to get a thousand or so dollars to buy the items their parents are able to get for them.

They just want to play paintball and be the best they can possible be at the sport. And many times they believe they need the best guns to do that, because that's what the pros use and the price tag reflects that. They just dont have the game experience to know that its not the gun the makes the player.

So while its a Damn shame to see nice guns being disrespected on the field, dont be too hard on the kids, after all, they are just kids.
I agree with 99% of what you said very well. You are right that there are people that take time to build their setup and build respect for what they have, and what others took time to get. I know I love my X7 and Alpha Black like they are my children. What I cant get behind is the idea that kids do not have a lot of life experience so that should excuse them for why they dont respect the gear. I learned the value of a dollar at a very young age, because my parents taught it to me. Some of those kids that get all the fresh gear dont respect the gear because their parents buy them anything and everything without asking questions. So in my opinion, dont blame experience, blame it on the parents.

I didn't mind the trigger wasn't the best but it was ok for what you pay for it

if it wasnt for newbs with great gear most companies would be out of business and prices would skyrocket. therefore we have to appreciate them and smash them on the field when we see them. we all play this horrible sport and hopefully with awareness it will go huge and paint will go down to 15 bucks a case lol

I don't mind them as long as they bought their gear and not their parents.

The ones that bought it themselves aren't as cocky as the aforementioned.

I don't understand how the same people that rip on rentals for playing like crap when they're stuck in a speedball game with a 98 custom can turn around and rip on those same kids coming back a month later with nice stuff. What do you want them to do? Stop playing (YOUR prices go up)? Stick to the rental (you rip on them when they can't lay down a rope to cover you)? Would they be cooler if their parents just bought them mid-level stuff? Just remember, every time their parents buy something it's helping you play for less.

Trash talkers will be trash talkers, no matter what sport they play or the equipment they use to do so. Have fun with your game, and consider yourself lucky to be able to literally shoot the people that bother you out on the field.

More power to them if they want to buy expensive shiz. The manufacturers are making money giving them more capital to develop better stuff. Then when the player realizes expensive shiz doesn't help their game, the secondary markets like craigslist benefit.

It is not that kids with great stuff make most people mad, hell i envy a kid who gets a brand new PE or DYE gun from their parents. It is the attitude that some have who don't care about their guns at all and treat it like ****, frankly, that makes me cringe...

We arent talking about ripping on rentals, and then ripping on them when they come back with good stuff. we are talking about the kids that come in with new ****, and then talk a bunch of ****.
