Paint Prices

Ok, I know you all may not want to give out exact numbers but, will anybody give me a "estimate" if you will, on what the price per case is on when ordering 1 skid/pallete of paint? what about on 5 or 10 palletes?
Btw is a pallete 120 or 135 cases?

I know this will vary on brand, quality, quantity, but a rough average is what I am looking for, something to base some planning off of. Thank you.

Skids range anywhere from 110-130 depending on the manufacturer, and I would say $21-$30ish per case is gonna give you plenty of room to figure out some numbers

in my opinion you should be trying to find the best paint for your set up so your customers can have the most fun. If you manage to score heaps of crap paint cheap will you bite the bullet and pay more money to dump it? I bet it will be on loaded to first time customers who will never play again. The highest mark up on the cheapest crap. Maybe you should go into the finance industry instead of a service business. Sorry mate the Question should be how can i find the best paint for my customers to use

I heard the valken paint offers some pretty good margins, and even the white box shoots really straight for how cost effective it is. Just be careful of the gold box or whatever its called because lots of people(rec ballers included) were throwing it up out of their guns.

edit: I'd say 21-30 as stated above sounds pretty reasonable.

Ok lets say I have a skid of paint. What would you say is the average life span of all that paint, If kept at the right conditions?(temp/humidity)

You are looking at at least a couple of months maybe 2 at the most before you see serious dimples. Just sell of any cases at a small profit to friends and buy another skid with the profit.

Really it depends on weather, humidity, etc... of where you store it. I know we keep ours in an office that's climate controlled but we don't have it for more than 2 weeks with how much paint is moved there. We typically get a new skid each week and make sure the prior week's paint is used 1st.

The grade of the paint will also play an important factor. All other things equal, the cheap stuff tends to have a longer shelf life.

Correct! High end paint usually dimples within a few days if not rotated, even then it seems to dimple much sooner than a harder-shelled(cheaper usually) ball
