My roommate doesnt shower, do laundry and makes microwaveable food making the room smell like a combination of b.o and microwaved food. Basically he smells like s**t. I cant say anything either cause he was put in a mental hospital earlier this year. SOOOOOOO any advice?

haha i did give him a bar of soap and the next week i found it on the ground so i guess he doesnt get the hint

I lived in a triple...I played hockey and one roommate played rugby. we felt really bad for the other guy.

See if you can get a health and confort inspection. If it is unsanitary then it is unhealthy. Do not put up with it.

they come in and see if your room is too messy to live in? damn i think it may be deemed as unhealthy the other day he left underwear on the ground that had bad s**t stains in them

They can... you have to check with the school but I am sure they would. If not... it needs to be.

I'm in a similar situation- My roommate is actually a friend of mine from HS. However he showers once a week or so, never makes his bed, and is constantly cooking rice, ramen and all kids of weird smelling asian foods. I try to open the window sometimes just to keep the air moving but when I come in from outside it just smells SO bad

Yea man it sucks however I've found febreeze actually works really well and covers the current stench rather well but doesn't last long since he just covers it with more odor

An easy way to possibly get the hint across would be to come in and smell around and then say, "Boy, is that me that smells?"

If he says no, then play dumb and say, "Huh, I wonder what it is then."

It may work or it may not work at all.

That's how I dealt with my roommates last year. Straight up told them the **** that got on my nerves (mainly just cleaning **** up after their dip**** drunk ***** made a mess).

If he doesn't take the hints that you've already made, don't be around the bush and just tell him that it makes you uncomfortable. If it doesn't stop, transfer roommates... though it may be too late if your school is like mine was. Only could do transfer at semester.

i was gonna switch last semester but didnt think he would be back this semester because he fails his classes and his mental issues also i thought would get him to leave. Now that we only have a couple months left of school i dont want to deal with the pain of switching roommates even if i could. Earlier this year one of my friends mentioned he smelled and my roommate then put a curse on him...... yea hes messed up he also has anger issues and is about 6'4 350 so telling him he smells like **** is gonna be hard

Everytime you walk in the room just mention that "hmm it smells like *** in here"

hell get the hint

told him to clean the room up he did. then no more then 8 hours later. No exagerration the room was back to the way it was. I walked in a sprayed everything with febreeze and he asked why i only spray his stuff and i told him because my stuff doesnt smell like s**t maybe he will work on it but still no luck

If this has been going on for a while then I agree with that lol
