.693 bore also with less porting in the tip than the ego11/geo2 shaft 4

Yep, as this is Planet's entry level marker, they have gone back to supplying a bore size that can be used with any paint size, big or small, so have gone back to a 0.693 bore with the Etha.

I have orginal SL Kit on my etek will all those barrel backs fit on the shaft 4 tip

No, the original SL barrel fronts would not fit the Shaft4.

The Shaft4 barrel back is male threaded at both ends, whereas the Shaft barrel, Shaft2 and Shaft3, along with the SL variants of those barrels, have a male thread at the rear and a female thread at the front. The rear of the barrel tip is male threaded. As such, the male threaded rear of an earlier barrel tip cannot screw on to the male threaded front of a Shaft4 barrel back.

I have an Etha and I would like to put an Apex tip/barrel, what is needed?
can i just slide the apex tip over the end of the stock barrel, is there an apex two piece barrel or what?

I used a etha for the first time today with a dye boomstick .692 with stiffi tip and it was awesome.

i know that the original question is old, but the etha does not come with a shaft 4. it is a shaft 4 compatible barrel, it is pretty much the same, except there is no milling on the outside. that is just to make it cheaper, but it is technically not a shaft 4.

I know this is kinda late but, the Lapco Fuse series has an Apex ready Shaft 4 barrel front. The link below contains an option to purchase the Apex ready tip. I am not affiliated with Hustle Paintball. Just attaching the link for info.
