I hate Darwin

Raw dog or wrap it?
So ST, I'm a college student as most of you are also. I work, go to school full time, drink excessively several nights of the week, and have a fairly average social life.
A girl I know recently started working at a humane society and she has a bunch of dogs for fostering, and if you like them you can adopt them or just hold on to them until they find an adoptive home. So with my schedule, I work about 15hours a week and am a fulltime student and there is a 1 year old golden retriever up for fostering. Should I do it? my roommate told me he will help walk him on the days that I work, but its only 5 hour shifts so I wouldn't be gone THAT long.
is it worrth the hassel? most of my friends are saying no because what if i leave for out of town, which i do for a couple days every couple of months to go wreak havoc on other nearby universities.

I had been in a similar situation as you.
I turned it down because not only is it unfair to the dog, its unfair to you. The dog would be sweet but trust me, it will be the ball and chain in your life.

Fostering is a great thing. However, what you need to keep in mind is 1 year old Goldens (or any retriever) are ALOT of work. They need tons of excercise and training. To be honest, with your schedule, I wouldn't do it. Instead, maybe on your days off, volunteer to go down to the shelter and walk/play with the dogs.
