Karnivor tuning w/mq2 tadao
I've tried reading through the faq's and various thread's, but could really use some specific help/specific links.
Karni:
What I would like to do is start from scratch. What are the precise steps to get everything back to default, then tune for smoothness and consistency.
Example: Start with IVG in X position, and back out X turns.
The Karni works, but I feel it isn't quite tuned right. (Kicks like a mule compared to my Clone).

1.for smoothness turn your lpr down so no air goes through and tune it up to where you feel like its cycling fine and has little kick to it.
2. with an mq2 you dont really need to change the ivg since the valve replaces the ics with an electronic valve, so you only need to sweet-spot the reg.
3.what frame is that? looks cool might want one for myself

It's an Ego 06 frame.
DON'T adjust the IVG at all. Turn down the LPR a bit and shoot it again.

awuh gawd I hate that frame on karnivors but everyone uses them :/
Isn't that a 2006 Dark frame?
ANywho, to be meaningful, the IVG is useless since the MQ2 replaces EVERY functional piece in the lower tube. Set the timing on the MQ2, then just don't touch it. All adjustments are to be made like an Ego. LPR, HPR, Dwell.

Well, the dark frame was meant to be a stop gap while I tried to install this:
And from I actually understood of my IVG, if I were to try and adjust it, I could shear off my mq2 wires. But anyhoo, back to your suggestions.
Do I just randomly set my reg to something that shoots about 280, lower my lpr until it stops cocking, then up the pressure a bit, then zero out the reg again and sweet spot?
Oh, and was going to run with these settings from the tadao thread:
debounce 2
a2d buffer 25
cycle filter 10
sear pulse dwell 3.5ms
sear pwm dwell 0.5ms
bolt dwell 9ms
abs 2ms
bolt open 1ms
bolt close delay 17ms
breech watch 200ms
eye sense paint 50ms
eye sense bolt 120ms
bip delay 1ms

you raise your LPR until you stop hearing a difference in sound between shots.
You lower your HPR all the way, then slowly raise until you get required FPS (you adjust velocity with HPR now)

Oi, so I haven't aired up the Karni in awhile, and its just dumping air out of the QEV furthest away from the gun. Steps I should take?

Eclipse qev's are rebuildable, but good luck finding a replacement diaphragm. I ended up just buying a new qev after mine started to leak since I couldn't find any diaphragms anywhere.

I swapped QEV's to see what would happen, and it still leaks from the same spot. Does that mean it's something else?

Backed the LPR all the way down, and now it doesn't seem to be leaking anymore. Not sure what that was about

possibly over pressured the ram, caused a leak. Was the solenoid squealing at all or just the QEV?

Hmmm, not entirely sure. I only had the asa on half way and just backed it out until I figured out the LPR was set to high. Either way, going to break out the chrono and some paint after all this rain/snow ends. Hopefully everything is all better now.

my old karni nexus ram QEV always leaked until the first shot. it needed the cocking noid to cycle in order to seal. everything ran fine after the first shot, but it happened every time it was first gassed. i couldnt explain it and never did figure it out.
