Viking won't chrono above 240 fps???
Hey guys I have a Valhalla Viking with a 08 ego board in it,and I have the lpr at about 70 the dwell is 11 the reg has just been serviced and I put a brand new Duracell in it but I can't seem to get it to shoot above 240 unless I back the reg adj. all the way out and I'll get about 250ish. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

try dwell of 12, in the winter, I need to run 12 with my UL framed viking, while I run 10 in the summer. Don't know why it only matters with that board, but for some reason it does.

You know what I tried the dwell at different settings and 12 didn't change it that much maybe like 5+fps

Try bringing up the LPR a bit...some guns do not like to run at that low a pressure...one of my vikings runs at like 68 the other runs at 72...

I tried that and the only change was it got loud and clanky and didn't raise the fps enough to justify leaving it that way. Other then the 240 fps the gun functions fine,no drop off, chops nothing it rips just not shooting hard enough.

Just a thought but could the RobTown Valve have anything to do with my low chrono speed? I'm going to change it to see today.

How is the bolt in the breach...is there any side to side play..Jared and i had an issue with one of my guns ...and while screwing around at the shop we realized that my breach was so worn that air was leaking around my bolt...new bolt and boom..gun is great again

What board?
Take apart and clean up the sidewinder -- may just need a good wipe and lube.

I just realized that you said "clanky". Does it sound more like a crack than a pop or bang? You probably don't want to hear this, but I'm starting to think solenoid. I was assuming new gun, new parts, new noid, so didn't think that at first.
When my noid went, I had low velocity, poor efficiency, and a loud cracking sound.

ok so I finally just called DC and happened top get Jarod who seems to be the man with these guns, and he told me that some of the VV had different tolerances on the back 3 hole caps and I noticed air purging out when I shot but I never owned a AKA gun so I thought it was normal, but Jarod said it wasnt and that I needed to put a bigger oring on it as the escaping air was the reason for my low velocity. Thanks again Jarod, now I can fully enjoy my new piece!

Awesome! And that's definitely one of the weirder ones I've heard, though I can confirm firsthand that Valhalla tolerances can be spotty. The first one I received leaked like a sieve out of the valve and vert ASA... He had to send me a replacement.
