I'm kinda new to the paintball game and I have a tippman 98 custom. But I was interested in getting an electronic marker. Does anybody suggest any good guns? Highest price is $250

off the top of my head i can't think of anything brand new that is worth buying in that price range, so check out the trading forums here. there are lots of deals. you can get an older model high-end like an sft shocker, or a gen 2/3 intimidator, or an older angel for that much. look around, youll find a great deal.

Milky hit it on the noggin. If you're not adverse to buying a used gun, an old 2003-2005 Intimidator would be an excellent choice. If you don't mind maintenance, then a Shocker would also be ideal.

G4 g3 if you are buying new. Used ego dm or Timmy is a good choice. If you can find a legend they are great guns as well.

Infinity Legend.

Literally, the greatest thing you can buy for under $250.

If you add $50 to that, you can pick up an Angel "GAT" 06 Speed, which is the only EP gun that can top the Legend until you get into the $500+ range.


Legend:

NO LPR - Makes it easy to adjust if you ever move or upgrade it. No freaking out about blowing the stupid solenoid or shredding paint from setting it too high.

The gun and trigger and frame are actually designed really well. It's heftier than a DP gun, say, but it's MUCH more balanced. It feels really nice to hold and has a frame that's not so long (front to back) so it's going to be a ton easier for you to hold onto.

The trigger could be better, but it's WAY nicer and easier to deal with than a Stock DP, SP, GoG or Eclipse Trigger.

It gets around 1800 shots when tuned for efficiency (off of a 68/45) and around 1600 shots if tuned to be gentle on paint.

And finally, it comes with a board from the world's most advanced paintball gun circuit board manufacturer (in my eyes, and hard to argue with that anyways): Tadao. Super consistent processing, always saves your settings, uber easy to set up, and very battery efficient. That's a big win as is.

You can score a legend for around $200 and they're purely idiot proof. The thing will ALWAYS work as long as you lube the bolt and rammer every 4 or 5 cases of paint.

yeah, maybe a broken one. i'm not the most current guy on this earth, but the very few legends i see in the bst are all about $300+. i absolutely loved my legend, but for the hassle it would take to find one for that price i'd have picked up something long before then.
