^ sounds like tank.
What size allen key is needed to loosen the bottom collar of the regulator from the regulator shaft on an 07 ego? I'm at work and plan on borrowing the correct size, and can't really take a bunch home.

Bill,
Are you still able to get the backs for the 06 solenoids? I sent an email to PE and they no longer carry anything for the 06 Ego.

Replace your tank oring, the #8 outer ASA pin-carrier orings and the #6 inside the front of the carrier.

I have been trying to negotiate with the original manufacturer but the price is WAY OUT OF BOUNDS. It would be over $300 for a complete solenoid. So far, no luck!

What is or isnt the solenoid doing on your SL74? Could be something other then the solenoid. If it is the solenoid, there is no cheap way out.

My Geo 2 will only fire fully the first shot after air up then puff the rest of the shots until I degass and air up again then same thing, one shot then puffs. New battery, different tanks.

I just put the settings back to stock and put a few more cases threw it. I have around 10-11k shots on mine now and its starting to shoot really well. I can't wait to put another 4 or 5 + cases threw her. Plus my settings are pretty much back to stock on the solenoid. They are 6,7 right now. And it shoots just as smooth as when I had it on 1,7 from when I just bought it. The more paint I put threw her, the more she seems to shoot better. So just play with her on stock settings and she will calm down.

Bill, another question for you, just took my new csl out this weekend and your setting tips work wonders but I noticed that my bolt pin likes to jump out of the ram with the first few shots of the day. I replaced the spring and detent thats in the bolt to see if that would stop it but the next day I went to play again and it did the same thing. I made sure that it is seated right and that the pin is all the way in the ram. Any thoughts on this I am thinking maybe just taking the spring out again and just stretching it out to put a little more pressure on the detent. What are your thoughts. Thanks for the great help.

Leaks from the solenoid are usually...
- Swap out 2 of the rammer orings. #9 in the front, #11 in the rear (see page 54/55 of your manual).
- Swap out the (2) 14x2 Orings on the LPR body. It is the part of the LPR that sits in the body of the marker that is held in by the stainless steel shaft located in the front reg mount (see page 58, figure 14.6 of your manual).
- Inspect the LPR piston regulator seat. It is the small delrin-like piece that is pressed into the skinny end of the piston shaft (page 52/53 of the manual). If missing you need to replace the piston...
- Swap out the #10 oring that is inside of the LPR Body. The LPR body is the part of the LPR that is mounted inside of the actual gun body. Unthread the LPR cap off and you can access the oring thru the front.

Stock bolt pin? If not, make sure it is the correct length. There are two different styles.
Make sure there is no oil on the plunger in the bolt, bolt pin or the rammer. I would also try stretching the spring inside the bolt to give more tension.

^^^ The bolts not seated right. Take the bolt out and look to make sure the pin is getting into the rammer. That's a simple fix. Happened to me when I first didn't know how to put a bolt in.

MMJ sounds about right. The bolt may not be seated in the rammer properly. Otherwise try it with air. The air will push the bolt assembly back a bit more when under pressure.
