Okay I just purchased a viking and in record time I have managed to break it. I took out the lpr and didn't realize the tight tolerances of the Viking. So....I ended up stripping both o-rings.

So I replaced them, but now I have a bad leak from the little hole that is directly behind where the sidewinder screws in.

How do I fix this leak??? I really would like to fix this myself, and not have to send it to DC. Any help is welcome.

You shred the orings again putting them back in. The way to do it, remove the sidewinder, and look into that hole when inserting the lpr back in (or removing it). The orings will try to get out out their grooves when past the hole, so keep them in with a small allenkey or something else (I use my pinky). Lube will help them not pinch and slide in easier, but you still have to watch them and keep them in their grooves.

Also keep in mind you will want to use 015 Urethane 70 durometer o-rings. Standard tank o-rings are the correct size, but wrong material and harness and do not work.

One good thing about brand new 015-70 urethanes is they are less likely to pop up and get cut when installing the lpr. Old yellow ones get rather stretchy and make that a nightmare.

I use 90 durometer buna o-rings for this. The extra hardness seems to be just enough to safely slip them past the obstacles that are faced in this operation.

Harder orings made it a pain to remove the lpr later, in my experience.
