Finally bought this game. I'm having trouble with tuning though. Is there anyway to pause the telemetry data? I'm trying to look at my tire info and they are cooling down and changing temperature. Do I have to save a replay and then view the telemetry from there? I know the data isn't exactly changing super fast, but I'm a little overwhelmed with all this info.

I might agree with you now. After like 2 or so hours of tuning I have no idea if I made the car better or worse. I'm even trying to follow a guide, but I'm getting funny results that don't seem to change with anything I'm doing.
The biggest problem is that I'm still a bad driver, so I can't put up consistent enough lap times to make a comparison. |

If i drive one car enough i can tell the difference in lap times. The problem is that who races the same race over and over in the same car? You change cars and tracks so many times you just really need to be good at driving and not worry so much about the tuning.
Unless you are racing online or something. Then tuning could make all the difference and you race the same car on the same track over and over to win.

I just wanted to have a couple of all-around tuned cars in a couple of different classes. That way I could switch it up as I pleased and always be ready to drive something I was comfortable in. Apparently it is much more complicated than I thought.

Yeah, if you race online you will have people who start a lobby with a specific track and specific class in mind because they have a car tuned for that track in that class.
Realistically you could make a car in a specific class that would be good for more than a few tracks that have similar characteristics but you cant really tune 1 car in a class to do all the races.

Ya I play it, not online though. It's got improvements over 3 and not to mention it's beautiful. Auto Vista is cool too.

Still playing it. I have a rotation of Forza, Fifa, PGA, COD, Battlefield, and Rage. Tend to play one for 2 weeks or so then alternate, although after work a buddy or two always comes over and we run Cod.
Got the season pass at the beginning. Still enjoying it. Earlier started the second to last season or career class. I am yet to race online though actually.

This game is seriously pissing me the **** off. Who was smoking crack when they decided to make the world tour a dynamic difficulty system? I can't win a single race in the 4th season, despite owning a ****ing countach.
I'm still earning credit for coming in 2nd but it's gonna be annoying going back into the events list and re-doing em later.

Spent the last 2hrs trying to beat a friend's Reasonably Priced Car time. I honestly don't know what I'm doing wrong. I make nice clean corners and can be winning up until the follow-though, then some how he finds a little bit of speed I can't and wins by a fraction of a second.

Try shifting sooner or even later. That little **** box Cee'd has an akward power band, if you take the RPMs too high youll actually lose time and speed. Just gotta try different things. Also, if your driving auto and hes driving manual, or even manual w/clutch, he will be faster because he controls the power band.
Anyone drift? or am I the only one? I race, yes, but only A-S class FF, and R3 gt2-3 style cars. Everything else is dumb. |
