SM-1, need parts......

Anyone know who makes the standard bottom line adapter that has the fitting through the front? I've seen it before but I have no clue who makes it or where I can pick one up. And also looking for a good reg for the sm-1. I'm not crazy for the cp's because of how the hose hangs low outta the bottom. Anyone know of a good reg that would work well with what I'm wanting?

You want an asa that has the fitting out the front? I like the ndz asa's (http://www.ansgear.com/category_s/1952.htm), they are cheap and work well. Really any reg will work just fine, but if you want to spend the money, I'd say get a sidewinder.

in addition to above, bunch of knock offs, BL gear drive, non-on/off CP's and XSV profile ASA's all come thru the front. as for the reg, any that comes out thru the side, but i use a 90* fitting on my CPs so im kinda partial.

you are going to want a bottom out reg if you run an asa out the front. makes a pretty mean bend in the macroline and you run the risk of leaks if you try and run it down from the upper portion of the reg.

this is exactly like the NDZ ASA Hogzilla posted, but it's about half the price. I actually just ordered one for my SM1. I use a sidewinder on my SM1 now. It lines up perfectly with XSV ASA now.

Talk to the people at CCM. I think the one on the current prototype is the shortest.

It isn't a standard ASA reg.

Look for an Angel mini-reg.

somewhere in my spare parts box I have a CMI (i think thats the mfg.) adjustable reg which was no more than 2 inches long. pretty hard to come by these days, and somewhat finicky. I also remember there was a company that made an on-off ASA had the HPR integrated, so all you would have to do is run a macro to a reducer into the vertical ASA. sorry its been awhile since i've seen any of these turn up either.

*edit*

correct me if i'm wrong since i have never used one, but i think a palmers female stabilizer with the proper mount can be setup this way.

Well now, if you wanna go old...

It has a female ASA at the bottom, and is intended for co2, but I've used it!
