Got mine today..
Am I supposed to lube the O Rings? Or is it best it doesnt move and has just minimal lube?
What size O Rings are these?
Why is there a groove on the ring, but no O ring?
And most importantly.. Due to the lack of install instructions.. DID I DO IT RIGHT??

Before shim installed

Whole assembly
What keeps this whole assembly from moving inside the gun?

Instruction should be the same as the original eigenring except for the sleeve that allows it to be used in the newer dms
I know that you want to lube it up, it works by sliding back and forth.

I gather that Lurker is trying to keep up with life, work, R&D, order processing etc ... so he may not have enough time in the day to answer everyone adn get is all ironed out and refined but if you run into problems or have questions make sure to follow up with him or fellow users of the product through email, facebook, and PBN when in doubt. The community as a whole should be able to work together and get ya going ....

OK, I have my DM10 ring installed.
So far everything looks VERY promising. I did a breif tuning using the origonal instructions.
Right now I am running a dwell of 11 and my LPR 1 1/2 turns out. I is shooting smooth and relatively consistent. Shooting about +/- 5 with reballs in the stock .688 barrel.
can't wait to try it out with paint and bore matched with my DW barrel.
Edit- almost forgot , I am also using a BW bolt.

Ken - You have it installed correctly. Lube the RING only, do not lube the sleeve retention O-ring. Because there is no net force on the sleeve, it should stay in place while the internal volume modulates in response to the pressure change

got mine in today...is the ring suppose to fit over & slide back & forth on the top hat or just sit at the back with the ring retainer?

It's supposed to slide on the top hat. It's a VERY tight fit with the oring. The easiest way I found to get it on was to drop it on the back of the top hat place the retainer ring on tighten on the back cap. The air it up and cycle a few times. After that take it back apart , remove the retainer ring and visually verify that the oring is still in the eigenring. If it is close it a up and your done with the install.

I installed the Eigenring and tuned my DM9 today, and have to say I am very happy with the results, my stock DM9 shot about 1200 balls per 68/4500, and after the install I was able to shot about 1700 balls.
Normally I am against upgrading high end guns as most upgrades have minimal if any results, I give the Eiginring a huge thumbs up. Well worth the small investment.

Ripper, what settings did you end up with for dwell and LPR after tuning?

thanx...i got it installed correctly now! after tuning it some & wasting air tuning it...i still got about 1500 shots on 4000 psi. which is WAY better than the 1100-1200 i was getting on the same fill. once the gun breaks in im sure the shot count will increase some too...only got about 4 cases through it today. just as a reference...dwell is 14, lpr 3 turns out & hpr 135ish; giving me around 285ish over chrono with good consistency. will post more info after more testing/playing

One thing to point out - a lot of you have noted the ring itself being quite tight on the top hat itself - It should be totally OK to merely pack the inner groove with lube and run without an o-ring-the tolerances are tight enough such that the additional area shouldn't matter and the reduction in friction may be beneficial.
I'll update the website and add a manual this weekend.

I have one on order and was just about to send my bolt to pooty for some pooty lovin. I haven't seen this part yet, but would anything on it benefit from polishing? After the last post I'm thinking it would and I might get that sent too.

I would say it would be the same as having a BW bolt.

I doubt it since it doesn't touch anything.
