Midblocked Karnivor pump project, help me up it!!
Hey nation,
This is new to me, a karni that I picked up. Immediately I put Ccm 86 on it, and it's starting to look really good. I plan to replace the reg, feedneck and pump kit. I really want a ccm pump kit but like everyone else I'm on the waiting list. I'm wondering what are my options are regarding a standard ccm pump kit are? Will this work with the back vertical Asa off the wgp kit? If you have any ideas on how I can take this to the next level, let me know. Thanks.

both are CCM. to use that WGP asa, you are going to need the one on the bottom, the top one is a standard kit and will not work with your setup
if its in working condition that reg isnt bad at all

Keep the pump hand strong

I'd say add autotrigger by having your pump arm drilled, and replace the return spring and call it a day.

eudaman, I think neither of those kits would work because the don't have a VASA.
Would a 2k mini pump kit with that guide rod/banjo work?

the bottom one works. i took it off the same set up as requiem using the old WGP VASA made to turn the karni into a pump. mini 2k wont work cuz the way the karni mates with the VASA, there is a specific slot that prevents the VASA from moving. thats why there are kits specially made for the karni... thanks for playing...

i noticed that my WGP asa only has one 0ring inside of the Vasa it was on the pump arm side, so i moved it over to the body side and put a regular oring on the pump arm side to see if that stopped the leaking i may need to get the right size since its a bit larger than a normal oring. It is still leaking out of the Vasa. times like this i wish i could buy a CCM karni kit.

I use two Orings on my wgp karni vasa with CCM pump kit, one on each side of the vasa.

I will have to for a while, the wgp pump kit isnt to bad. The one part within it is the return spring is very stiff, i would recomend changing it out.
Update:
I really like the Karnivor internals, I did however just pick up a maddman spriing kit to smoothen the pump stroke. I will be installing that the next few days, i'll post what i think afterwards.

I too suggest to keep the WGP kit. Looks very nice with the Karni, and the price of the CCM kit is not worth the upgrade over what you already have.

I personally like the WGP kits a lot, and looks great on there. Keep the WGP kit.

i agree keep the wgp kit and maybe get a gat guide and Autotrigger and call it a day.
(I used to be a big fan of the ccm and vendetta kits, but lately all my snipers have basic pump kits like that, and the gat guide and I am a happy camper with a lighter and sleeker pump kit)

Twice as much delrin makes for a lighter pump kit?
I'm not crazy about the length of basic kits on full size guns (the Karni is actually one of the longest), though it should make a person have more control shot to shot.
Also, try leaving the internal springs alone and finding a different return spring. Chances are the gun just needs a little more balance between the weight of the main and the return, and you'll be happy. You can have a hard main and be comfortable as long as the return spring matches it well.

AKALMP tornado valve, find a heavier hammer, or use the medium maddmann spring with the light valve spring.
Bam. Done.

It's my personal favorite pump kit. Don't get me wrong, ccm kits are better in every way (aside from price) but there's just something about the wgp kit...
