S6.5 or New CCM Pump

Hey guys I was thinking about getting a pump and I was wondering if I should get a S6.5 or the New CCM pump and the possible differences they might have.

other than the visual cues, select few have got some time behind the trigger and those few will only know the true differences. the only thing they can truly share that the general public is aware of is that they shoot paintballs and the quality behind the CCM lineage.

Tyler the prototype will be at wheeler this Sunday. You/your dad can shoot both and make the decision for yourself. I love my 6.5 but the prototype seems to shoot a little flatter. It is slightly louder and a little heavier on the pump stroke.

The new gun hasn't been released yet. If you can wait, you might just want to.

Unless Rod is using some sort of witchcraft on the prototypes, then no, it is definitely not shooting any flatter.

"Flatter"? How did I miss that..?

All guns under the same circumstances shoot the same trajectory.

actually some guns have more of an arc than others, i think it depends on the detent set up, barrel, the bolt, and pressure/volume behind the ball.

the alien guns DEF. shoot flatter with the sweep bolt,
i have shot a palmers Pyre, and it seemed to lob, and the owner mentioned that they are like that.
most spool guns i have shot "seem" to shoot "flatter" mostly noticeable switching back and forth between a geo and ego, same bore, same paint.
Flatline barrels have a different trajectory as well.
the g6rs ihave shot also seem to "lob" paint, i feel like this is due to the super low pressures

They all go the same distance though, and the all have the same arc but at which point it starts that arc may be different.

The perceived "arc" is the ergonomics of the gun and how it is held. As for the Alien, it falls under the same category as Apex and Flatline barrels, as well as those old Cooper bolts. Push a ball against the top of an overbored barrel to give it backspin in any gun, and you'll see the same result.

I don't know about all of you but I'm waiting for that prototype to hit production. S6.5 is great if you don't want to wait though

ss-25 -accuracy,speed
S6 -accuracy=Speed
T2 -speed, accuracy
6.5 -speed, accuracy
prototype...pump stroke is not as smooth as the older ccm (kinda disappointed) like the concept though, of everything closed
bob long ...super light (feels good in the hand, but pump arm feels cheap...pump stroke is not as smooth as ccm

i personally shoot the T2 and ss-25 in tourneys....looking to get an S6 to add to the collection.
