Halfway through A Dance with Dragons. It's hard trying to power through novels during the school semesters. I want to just be a freeloading hobo who gets paid to read.

I was scared to finish it. I really didn't want it to end, lol.
What should I read next?
Battlefield Earth or Ender's Game

Enders game if you haven't read it. Great book but the others in the series are lacking and have highly religious overtones.

Yeah I felt the same way. The main reason I wanted to get through it was because I had other books on my to-do list that I wanted to read. But I found myself pretty solidly sucked into the universe that King created there. Really interesting. I liked the ending, too.
And because of what everyone's been saying, I think I'll take up Ender's Game when I finish A Dance with Dragons, which should be a couple days.

I actually read GRRM's Dying of the Light yesterday instead of Ender's Game. I thought it was really well done. I don't fully understand the significance of the ending, but I really enjoy how the book was done.
Started Ender's Game this morning, a little over 50 pages deep. Very cool. I'll finish it some time this week between work and helping people move.

Enjoyed Ender's Game thoroughly. Very cool book. Most people think it's the best in the series, but I'm gonna give the second book a shot. I might read Tolkein's Children of Hurin or King's Under The Dome first, though, since I already have them in the mail.

Just finished up the last book in the Hunger Games series (Mockingjay: Suzanne Collins).
Looking for some suggestions on a similar read.
Edit- Probably gonna pick up the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

How'd you like the hunger games? I placed a pretty big order on Amazon tonight but passed that one up. Worth getting?

Yes, incredibly worth getting. Loved those books.
Just got Blasphemy by Douglas Preston and Under the Dome by Stephen King for Christmas. Reading the latter first.

Definitely. One of the better series I've read in a while.
