My Craigslist Mini

Hey guys, im fairly new to the board as i returned to paintball not to long ago from back in the 90's and early 2000's. I am now buying up all the guns i always wanted as a teenager and loving it. Recently i picked up a classic Minimag off Craigslist for 40 dollars. He said all it needed was Air lines, but i knew the wiser and figured he had stripped them off before selling due to a leaky valve. i mean who would strip the lines off a perfectly good working gun anyhow? So i put a braided line from the vavle to the vertical ASA i bought, and it leaked so much air i thought it was going to explode in my hands, every o ring seemed hard and no longer sealed. So before i even had time to look it up i tore it apart from memory, and threw in some orings i had laying around, and i got it working (along with tons of oil). And i just forgot exactly how much fun these guns were!!! I love the fact that you can still find these guns and they still make me just as happy now as when i was a kid!!! does anyone else think the same way?

Lots of people feel that way... Eventually you will stop buying mags and start building them

I never just air up a mag I get shipped to me or get from a unknown local. I always look through it first. I have found retaded stuff going on in them before.

i would love to start building my own, but parts are too expensive for me

Just going through old posts to "catch up" because just like returnofmike Im getting back into the sport from the late 90s (God, saying that feels so weird...) and am doing the exact same thing by buying all the "new" and "expensive" guns I wanted as a kid for what seems like pennies on the dollar now. I remember as a young to mid-teen I saved up by mowing lawns and doing odd jobs around the neighborhood to buy my first mag and just dusted her off a few weeks ago..still shoots like the day I bought her, well, better actually because of a few tweaks I made along the way
