There are large amounts of people who change brand loyalty on consumable goods based on a person who drives car with their logo on it in a circle? That says a lot about those fans...

Is there, though? Tourney players are notoriously cheap. It's an expensive sport and it takes all the disposable income some players have just to participate.

Sure, Nike could come along and create the perfect paintball cleat, but would players shell out the money for them? Would Nike sell enough to make any return? At this point, I'd say no.

That's what I mean, they wouldn't just gear towards tourney players, the re players would make them their biggest profit I would think.

Well, true. I still don't think the numbers are there. If they were, we'd probably have seen interest from those companies in the hay day a few years back.

If your team is a registered non-profit then the businesses can write the sponsorship off on their taxes (100%). Which is a great angle to use when hitting up local businesses, which in my opinion are the easiest firms to build and grow a relationship with. At-least in my experiences with these local level shops most people are genuinely willing to help another person out; that is human nature after all.

Dude Nike's been making footwear a lot longer than the sport of paintball has even been alive. They could introduce any cleat to the market and market it for next to nothing. Get a few pictures of Slowiak wearing the cleat and you're set. Even an intern could handle making these adverts in windows paint.

Hey let me know I'd wear them!!! Just kidding Exalt cleats are for me.

The biggest thing with outside mainstream sponsors is that the league or leagues would charge them for logo placement. At least that is what would make most sense to me... and I am sorry if someone said this above.
