Empire sniper - Anti double feed?
HI,
I am looking for a pump marker for woodsball that has an anti double feed system like the SL68 2. So if you load a ball in the chamber you cannot cock it another time until you fire off the round.
I am very interested in the Empire Sniper pump. An empire employee said that the Sniper came with this feature, but I am not sure if he understood what I meant.
Can anyone testify that this feature is included in the Empire sniper? So far all the other high ends like CCM, Phantom and even Bob long dont have this feature.

the empire sniper has a ball detent that allows it not to double feed. what your looking for is an anti-double pumping feature like what the empire trracer has

why would you want that feature for any reason? any gun that can uses a return spring and ball detent doesnt need it.
to answer your question, No the empire sniper does not have this feature

The SL-68 has an anti-double pump feature, not to be mistaken with anti-double feed. It's a locking sear system unique to the Tippmann.

Well I am kinda old school in the sense that when I play rec ball I usually end up behind the enemy or close enough to get a clean shot. There were many times where I could not remember if I loaded a ball or not so I either shot a blank and gave my position away or I cocked it and shot two balls at once. Sometimes when I am playing my adrenaline skyrockets and I forget everything else. So the anti double pumping feature saved my butt a couple of times when I had the SL68 II back in the day.

thats kind of an extreme bad habit. seems like the normal thing to do when you see an oponent, would be to pull the trigger first not pump the gun. especially if you dont know if its cocked or not.
on snipers you can just look to see if the hammers cocked and with a small bore barrel the ball wont roll out so your shot is alway ready. and the empire sniper has autotrigger anyways you can just pull the trigger and pump thus no double loading.

Why would you shoot a blank, the only way you would be able to dryfire is if you got a rollout or a ball didn't feed. The worst that would happen is you pull the trigger and nothing happens.

The method used by the SL-68 may be unique, but the feature isn't. My old Trracer had an anti-double pump, so does my Hammer and even my JT ER2 has it.
Quite easy to do on a nelson, designing one for a sheridan/sniper would be considerably more difficult.

That's right, I just bought my ER2 and managed to forget anyway.
I don't remember Trracers having them, though.

Not all had them. I seem to remember it being like the adjustable velocity bolts, an available option for the "deluxe" model or something like that. It's been a while.

Later versions of the original Trracer had them. All of the new Empire Trracers have it too.
