Etha $400 GEO+ $450-500

I would like to know if anyone who has tried the Etha has also shot or owned a GEO+.

I know they are totally different type markers, I know the Etha its not a rip-off of the GEO and I am also aware that the GEO+ has (new!) a higher retail price.

A new price of the Etha is around $400, a used GEO+ is around 450-500.

My questions; Is it worth spending the +/-$100 more on a GEO+ used. Or is the difference between the two of such slight form that the Etha would still be the best option for a $400-500 budget?

the geo and the etha are two completely different platforms. do you want a new gun or a used one? do you want an lcd screen or flashing led's? do you want an aluminum gun or a composite one? those are a few of the questions you need to answer for yourself. while i have yet to shoot an etha you really cannot go wrong with any eclipse gun!

tonycon, thanks for the the reply!

the thing is, I am one of those ( maybe rare!) paintballers that sees his marker as a object to play with! not to protect and keep in perfect order to keep the resale as high as possible. I just want to go out and play and not worry about possible damage en bends.. just use it what its made for, shooting.

So in that case the Etha would be the better of the two, less scratching on composite compared to aluminum. I don't care if a marker is used or not, I care with how the owner treated it . Nevertheless 12 months warranty on the Etha would be great. And last but not least, I love a LCD on my marker but i might be able to get on with a LED, seems so easy.

Still very interested in opinions of players who have used both.

Got to practice with the etha last weekend smooth shooting gun. I would pick it over a axe or any other cheaper marker. Doesnt compare to the geo2 i shot thow. Hope this helps.

i personally disagree, i think a axe set to 190 psi on the reg and the vlocity brought up to desired fps is better than the etha. but then again thats my opinion. id take a geo+ over the etha though

the etha shoots very well for being a $400 marker i prefer it over the axe i feel it is smoother but between the etha and a geo2 the geo shoots much smoother and other little things

i am not comparing this to a GEO2, its the budget.. you can either buy a new etha or a used GEO+.. was wondering what people feel is more worth the money.
