Regulated phantom question

I have an open class phantom and I just recently put a regulator on it but now it wont shoot higher then the mid 220s


Any help?

Phantoms are designed to run on UNregulated CO2. Putting a reg on it is not really necessary.

That being said, if you insist on using a reg, you may have to get a set of springs and try using either the harder or the softer main spring. I cant remember which...I think its the stronger one.

That should hold the valve open longer and therefore give you more gas...therefore more velocity...if that made sense. Someone will correct me if I am wrong.

It also depends on what kind of reg you are running. If you are running a lower pressure reg, you are choking the phantom.

The only reg I would recommend running on a phantom is a palmers stabilizer.

It's pretty pointless at that point.

If you want to drop the pressure you have to mess with the springs, volume, TPC, and a whole slew of other things.

You want to get the most out of co2, prevent spikes, and able to adjust the velocity without the velo tool... Then you run with a stabilizer.

The phantom as is is pretty good with most setups.
