shocker nxt solenoid leak? help!
Hey guys my shocker stopped working on me today. Im trying to figure out why. I think it has something to do with the solenoid because it still airs up and turns on, but when i hit the trigger i hear a quick sound of air flowing inside of the handle. Its a short sound of air being released, it sounds like it starts to flow threw the gun but then gets blocked when it reaches the bolt. It was working fine but it chopped a few balls and my friend that was using it at the time kept firing. A paintball was stuck in the barel and he kept firing then the air stopped flowing to the bolt. Now when i hit the trigger i just hear that short sound of air. The bolt no longer moves when i hit the trigger. What do you guys think happened? Could this have happened because i havent lubed the bolt? could the bolt just be stuck because it got dried out? or have i blown my solenoid or some sort of internal hose? The gun does not apear to have a leak, i have not heard any air coming out steady while its aired up. look forward to hearing your ideas,
Thanks.

First thing I would do is take the bolt kit out and check all of the orings.
There are no internal hoses fyi

Most likely after the ball got chopped and the bolt was going back and forth though all the paint in the breach it pulled paint into the front can oring and gunked it all up causing massive bolt stick. Take the bolt out and clean and relube all of the orings. If your not sure how check the shocker tech section on zdspb.com every possible problem/solution for shockers can be found there its like the shocker bible

So basically your shocker turned into a blender and you havent stripped/cleaned it completely?...
your problem is..^^^^what Jim said x1000. Massive Bolt Stick. Clean and regrease and you should be good to go. You should probably strip the eyes down and clean them too after blending much paint...consult zdspb.com shocker bible for instructions.

Ok so it was working perfectly yesterday, I aired it up again today and same thing happened, So i took the regulator out this time to try and clean it. Now putting it back together is impossivle because the last screw is sticking out too much even after i screw it down all the way, So its impossible to screw the reg back together! Do you think the bolt could stick because the regulator is too gunkked up? or is it because i put too much lube on the bolt yesterday?

not sure which screw you're talking about on the reg..go here http://www.zdspb.com/tech/maxflomain/index.html if you have a stock reg on your shocker, pick out the version you have, and follow the directions for rebuilding the reg.
as for the bolt stick, yes, too much lube can cause bolt stick. a light coat is generally enough. look at the bottom of the page in this link for videos showing proper lubing. http://www.zdspb.com/tech/mguide/sho...e_bolt_he.html
