What about the Issue for my American Friends and HPA tanks.
Here in Canada we require most of our HPA tanks to have a TC Stamp.
Most of you wont have this certification on your tanks. Would suck to have to buy a new tank due to 1 event.
I personally love the Idea of a CAN event

Most tanks sold are tri labeled Canada, US, Europe. That way the manufactures can sell them where ever.
People come to BC all the time to scuba dive, how do they bring their tank?

I stop driving ... I drink and stumble now. Sucks I can't get in to Canada with a DUI. Wonder how many others that will effect. Lol

DUI's can be considered a felony in most states. you can not cross the border into canada with a felony on your record.

Canada considers a DUI a felony regardless what a state here considers it. You can still get in through three different processes but when I called and check those processes can take up to a year.

wow, so if I fly in they will turn me away? The event is a month before im off probation too. looks like im gonna have to sit that one out.

Ha... 2 of the ways to get in you have to have been off probation for at least 5 years. The only other way is what they call temp resident. I have been told by several of my friends that play hockey there. That if you drive in they don't always do a background check. It's a coin flip depending on the border guard.

While I think a Canada event is something fresh and great for the guys up North and West. I will not be attending. I can't afford to travel that direction 3 times out of the year.

While an alright idea, that'd be incredibly risky financially and there aren't a whole lot of locations that are central for the region the host cities would be in.
