Thank you PSP for releasing two events already!

However, it's too bad that us guys coming from the east coast are looking at almost $1000 in Airfares in the first month of the new season. I wish these two events were spaced out in a different fashion. For instance, Texas, Chicago, Phoenix

Phoenix Sky Harbor is a Southwest hub, I believe, so I'd imagine you'd be able to find a cheap flight, although I know your pain...Sky Harbor is expensive to fly in/out of. Looking forward to a great season!

Flights from Philly to Texas are like $400, and those aren't convenient times for one that works full time. Flights to Phoenix are about the same, except you would have to fly out on Monday, since the latest flight on Sunday leaves at 3:30pm.

I guess as long as the next two events are chicago and in the northeast/mid atlantic it will level itself out.

The flights are going to be at the lowest right around after new years. Supposedly 8 weeks before you fly is the lowest.

In Galveston, I think I will wake up around 6:15am and drive to the field Friday morning....should take me about 5 minutes to get to there. =0)

As for Phoenix...doubt I can get the time off for that so close to Galveston.

Thanks for the advice. I looked last night and I was looking at 450ish to phoenix and $350-400 for galveston.

assuming you're from jersey form the 609, there is no way you should be paying $1000 for two round trip tickets. More like $700.

Galveston is a lousy location for flight prices, but phx is a hub for sw and us airways. SW tickets will go on a sale a couple times between now and february. They are currently on sale right now, but the sale doesn't extend that far out. From the looks of their sale right now, you should be able to get one way tickets for $129 plus tax.

When calculating flight costs to paintball events, I always use direct flights that miss the least amount of work. Those flights are more expensive than your typical college/high school paintballer flight plan.

But yes, like most people said, it would be wise to wait until the new year to calculate airfares.

It is just going to be a tough two months between TX, PHX, and HB.

There's like a 6 week span between TX and PHX, with HB in the middle of it.
Because of work schedules, college, and the actually money to play all 3 events, it is almost impossible.
It's time to pick one league and stay with it. PSP's definitely going after the NPPL now.

last year my flights round trip to galveston from ohio were like 230. Their are ways to get cheap flights, just have to have a little bit of luck lol

Galveston and Phoenix are pretty close to each other. Especially for back to back events.

Returning for the first time since 2010 when the event drew in 109 teams.




Event #3: PSP Chicago Open
CPX Sports Park, Joliet, IL
June 21 - 24, 2012
This 4-day event hosted 155 teams last season.




Event #4: PSP New Jersey
TopGun Paintball, Cream Ridge, NJ
August 10 - 12, 2012
122 teams competed in this event last year, PSP's first time in the northeast since 2008!




Event #5: PSP World Cup
Fantasy of Flight, Orlando, FL
October 18 - 21, 2012
278 teams from all over the world competed in the 2011 World Cup!
