Used Recommendations Around $200
Mainly been looking at the following:
DP Fusion FX ~$300
DP Fusion F8 ~$175
DP Fusion F7 ~$150
MacDev Droid ~$250
Any of these stand out vs. the rest in relation to price? Used to own an F7 and loved it, just getting back into paintball now.
Or any guns in this price range better than these?
Thanks!

They're really smooth, quiet, and reliable. Efficientcy isn't too bad either. Just take care of it and you'll get a real nice gun.

$250 for a droid?
make sure it isn't broken. if it is, it's still worth it.

At $250, I'd definitely take a Droid.

How would an Etek 3 or Threshold compare to the others I listed?

Threshold will shoot better than any of them. And look better while it does it. Not as efficient as the poppits, but with the Techt engine they're amazing. Quiet, smooth and the milling is hellacious. They use pretty much the same drive train as the Rev i. One of the few guns I regret selling, if only it wasn't red... But instead of the Etek, why not look at older Intimidators? Best shooting stack tubes I've ever messed with. You can pick up a Gen 3 or 4 for +/-$275 or even a Protege for roughly $300. No Etek will shoot with a well tuned Timmy.

Cool. Think Threshold is looking like perhaps the best bang for the buck ATM since the Droid I was looking at before is no longer available at that price.
Thanks guys!

They certainly aren't a bad choice. The things I would recommend for it is a trigger and maybe a board. 7E is the only trigger I know of although you can pm Marcusgar21 in the DP forum for a custom delrin job. Dp forum btw is one of the best and most helpful forums on this site. 7E also has a board for the Threshold. Although the APE is better, the 7E is an upgrade from the stock one and can be had paired with their trigger for cheap. Got mine on clearance for $45 at ans a while back. The APE I think is out of production but can still be found if you look. The stock trigger and board will work mind you, those were just things I saw that benefitted from upgrading.

I would take the 7E over the APE LED in the case of the Threshold board.
I currently run a TechT engine in my Rev-I, the only difference being the bolt stop between the Rev-I and Threshy. It's incredible.

For a TRUE $200 gun...I would consider an Infinity Legend or maybe a 2k5 Timmy. Those can actually be found and had for $200...I think either of those are better then a Fusion. If you jump you're budget up to $300 then the entire question changes...but for a true $200 gun...those are the two I'd look at. I still think the Infinity Legend as far as what you get, ease of maintenance is the best deal out there dollar for dollar on a lower budget.

That would be a Dangerous Power Threshold. It was a limited run marker with only 500 being made. It was the precursor to the Dangerous Power Rev-I consisting of almost an identical bolt system. It's a great marker and the unique milling of them makes them very very sweet marker.
They are quite a treat.
