apparently you can't email alpine for tech related ****. you have to call, and of course they are on the other side of the country and i have classes all day. yay phone tag.

Wow, some people just don't get it.
I figured that, since alpine is a fairly common brand, someone just might have the same headunit as me. and since the world is making holding your phone while driving illegal, i figured that just maybe, someone would have tried to go bluetooth.... and since that paintball is a common sport, i was HOPING that this someone would also play paintball.
for instance: the whole car audio thread enjoys paintball, no? oh but they also are fairly knowledgeable about car audio.

eh, it's one of 2 alpine things in my system. and i like my HU. I don't have the greatest thing in the world, but kenwood doors (if i had money i'd go focal or soundstream... mmmm) a crap MTX sub (it was free tho) an old orion amp for my rear doors, a kenwood amp for front and an alpine MRP M 400 (i think) sub amp.

call again and they tell you that instead of going thru this huge menu, you can call a number that is listed as "For Authorized Alpine Dealers Only'... 
the tech guy mentioned it should in theory, but has not been tested. would need the adaptor cable though.
