How so? I play an orc 1h/shield and use no magic. I don't even have dragons spawning so I can't use shouts either. I don't have any issues not using magic.

i mostly use 1h and a shield as well, but can use a fair mix of destruction magic as well. im finding an imperial is pretty well balanced, just their racial abilities dont help in combat like most other races...
and once you get the respite perk for restoration that heals stamina as well its pretty sweet...take a step back, heal, and charge back in shield bashing and crackin' skulls...its like having unlimited stamina.

Archery here. And healing. That's it pretty much
Is there a way to "forget" learned enchantments?
I disenchanted something long ago that only gave +13% base archery damage, and I just found something that gives +20% base.
Is there a way I can learn the 20 instead of the 13? Or is it no matter what always 13 starting, and goes up as I put perks in to enchantment

the 13% is coming from your enchanting skill and soul gem level. when you disenchant, you learn the generic enchant, not the value.

I have been playing as a redguard and am mainly duel wield melee/heavy armor and the only spells i rely on are some conjures to draw attacks and restoration. it sucks when fighting dragon priests/ancient dragons but i just use archery and take cover for that. duel wield w/ the attack speed shout is sooooo money |

I'm trying to start the college of winerhold's quests. trying to talk to the apprentice guy that "takes in the new apprentices". I'm standing on the quest marker waiting for him to talk to me and the new apprentices and nothing is happening and I can't talk to him.help?

This is the first game in the series that i have played and so far it has blown me away. The amount of content is astounding but i only have three gripes.
1st - I would have liked to have seen more unique weapon skins (especially with swords, personal bias).
-dawnbreaker
-nightingale blade
there is also a katana?
(they're cool but the only ones i can think of)
2. Co-op - i know why they didnt go down that road but an online experience would have been epic.
3. Large scale battle. All these large wide open fields and high castle walls, it would have been sick to have some siege events or large battles with the empire or stormcloaks in taking territories/towns to win the war. (maybe they are farther along but i havent come across any).
overall this game is amazing and two out of three are easily fixable with a dlc
game of the year for me which is saying alot considering bf3 and mw3 came out this year.

Both of these would make this game 10 times better which is almost hard to believe because it is so incredible anyways.

I don't really use them. I've been using Throw Voice since I got it for a while though. Helps when I'm trying to be all sneaky sneaky archer. Which is all the time.

Throw voice into the corner of the room and then I shoot everyone in the back.
I use unrelenting force for dragon fights to cut them off while they are breathing fire/ice. I don't have many shouts though, I have very much neglected that part of the game so far. |

dragons - dragonrend to keep them grounded, nothing else
lots of **** - iceform
oh **** gotta move - ethereal (sooooo useful)
ledge - unrelenting force
other ones every once and a while. the attack speed shout is amazing but i usually use them defensively.
and the battles are cool. the big city sieges are awesome, the small fort ones are meh
