Rotor virtue problem

I'm at field right now. And my rotor stops working. I put new batteries in it last nite. So I go and take it apart and I smell burning so I lift up plate and my batteries are melted. Mind you this is the second virtue board in the hopper. The first virtue board kept having jamming problems that actually when the 2.0 VERSION came out. So virtue swapped it out. Now I dunno if I should try seed board or just sell the rotor. And be done with it

you have a 200$ hopper why spend 100 dollars on an upgrade for it? the stock one works fine.

if u have issues with constant jamming then i suggest a different hopper.

I've heard several other instances of batteries getting fried with Virtue boards (in both markers and hoppers). I'd say ditch the Virtue board.

Not sure the seed board is better but I've personally heard very good things about it. I'm preferential to the stock Rotor board as I don't feel like the cost to upgrade that board justifies any performance improvements.

i'll give you my advice which you probably dont want to hear.

put the stock board back in and and leave it.

i never understood why people spend some much money on pointless "upgrades". Theres absolutley NOTHING wrong with the rotor how it is.

Ive seen it so many times. People just HAVE to have this upgrade or that upgrade, and after they spend 100, 150 for it...it has more problems than when it was stock.

What would the virtue board give you than the stock rotor cant?

I have both boards (well all 4 to be exact). At first I had the stock and it worked fine to be honest.

I jumped on the band wagon and got the Seed for the upgrade to the motor and the unjam feature. I like this board and have no issues.

Wanting to RF chip my Rotor with my Axe and now Victory I grabbed a Virtue. The Gen1 worked good, but had some bugs with the RF module. So I sent it in and got the Gen2 and have had no issues what so ever.

Now my opinion, unless you are going to RF chip the loader and marker just use the stock. As for the batteries melting either the connection was loose or somehow the metal contacts in the battery carrier made contact to cause that, not the board. If the board drew enough power to melt the batteries it would have ignited, trust me.

What he said ^ I wouldn't bother using the virtue rotor board unless you're going to RF your marker and hopper. Otherwise you don't even get the benefit of the one really useful feature of the board.. The auto-unjam.

Did your seed kit actually auto-unjam itself?
