Can Someone Tell Me Where To Join/create A Legit Team And How

I like paintball and was wondering if i could join a legit paintball team in my area. I live in st. louis,MO. I want to join a team that plays tournaments and is legit and it would be nice if they were sponsered or became sponsered.

Go to your local field and play there for a few months and make some friends. That always works.

Agreed, that is what I did, just play the sport have a good time, get good, and sooner or later some team will want you on their team. More likely than not they won't have any sponsorships if they are just starting their team, which isn't really a bad thing as you wouldn't have to buy all new gear in order to play for them. If you do get picked up by a team that is sponsored, make sure to thank them and to play your *** off for them.

Keep your eye open for REASONABLE tryouts. If you are new, don't try out for a D3 team. But if there is a newer D4 or D5 team, try out. Better teams want players with more heart than skill (but still have skill too). So show everyone how devoted you are to the sport.

Oh, and don't write off the newbs. Help them, teach them, encourage them. That is how you get recognized by the field, who will want you to come back, and want you to succeed.

This should help point you at resources to get a team up an running.

But like they said your local field and pro shop will be your best friend when looking. They know who's who. Also being in good with a brick and mortar pro shop helps lead to the sponsorships more easily after you have a few tournies under your belt.

You could always go onto the regional thread for your state and post a team tryout information as well as posting in the free agent section if you would want to join an already established team.

Team Animosity. We're from STL also, JUST picked up a sponsor for 2012 and plan to play MSXL in 2012. We could def give you a try out. We have 2-3 open spots. Pm me ASAP.
