Help!!! Shocker NXT manifold leak/solenoid leak???

I recently bought a shocker on ebay. I love the marker. The person I bought it from pretty much dipped this marker in bucket of lube to hide all of the leaks.

I have purchased a new 6 piece o-ring kit for the manifold and have narrowed the leak down to the left side exhaust port/ " if the maker body is upside down feedneck pointing toward floor." I cannot seal this bloody thing.

The problem could either be a stuck solenoid from this unknown lube that was used or the o-rings are not sealing???

I am looking to buy a stainless steal manifold even if the problem is fixed.

Thank you for your time.

zdspb.com is the online shocker manual/guidebook. check it out.

the solenoid can be taken apart and cleaned up if there's a ton of lube in it.

with the feedneck pointing down and the rear of the marker toward you, a left side manifold leak can be alot of things other than those orings..
most if not all possible causes are listed here.http://www.zdspb.com/tech/mguide/sho...ifoldleak.html

It's no doubt the bolt sail o-ring, the 16/70 on the outside of the bolt in this diagram:

Awesome guys! Thank you. This is a start in the right direction.

Does anyone know where I can get a stainless steel manifold. These aluminum ones are no good. I am so worried about stripping it out.

You shouldn't really ever have to mess with the manifold, so just be gentle putting it back on and you won't have to worry about stripping it out.

@umami, I just ordered a Shocker rebuild kit and I am going to start from scratch replacing every O-ring. Which prolly isn't a bad idea since I bought this marker used it would be a fun project.

So I got my o ring kit in and replace all of the o rings on the bolt, carrier, and guide. The leak improved a bit. The marker is to the point where it is halfway pressurizing. Still have the leak.

I believe so, not sure why those would come loose though since the purpose of those is to drill the insert passages. Anyways, as far as the SS plate, NDZ made them. I'm not sure if they still sell them. Another option is to get with speedscustom on here. He makes an adjustable plate also that I've heard great things about.

I am having the same problem. I reloctited (SP) said screw and still have the problem. The seal overtime and break down and cause a leak.

I just re-loctite the teeny tiny screw under the manifold. I have some errand to run so she will dry while I'm out. Thanks a bunch everyone!

Make sure you give it 24 hours to properly cure, not just an hour or two

If that doesn't fix it, I will take a guess and say it is the noid insert.

I am convinced this is a solenoid issue. But all of the noid rings are in place?

I fixed the leak!!! Oh my god!

This is what was wrong.....

The two rod that insert into the body underneath the firing can ad bolt guide. These are referred to as the the right and left solenoid inserts. You will see that one rod is shorter than the other and that one rod has a screen on it to filter dirt and debris, yeah I put those rods in the wrong place when I screwed them back in. This video helped me to figure that out.

I would like to thank everyone for pitching in and helping me to find the problem. I know it took a while to find the answer, I was busy with school and work and was not able to dedicate alot of time to troubleshooting. You guys rock!!! Thank you again for the help.

What if you followed all these steps and are still leaking through the manifold port exhaust. Are there any other suggestions left? Running out of ideas here.
