If an american team competes in xball at a d4/d3 level and is succesful, would we expect the equivalent of an american d1/d2 team in the PALS d1 or d2 division?

Since I don't see it worth the flight and entry just to play the mech d4 or the race to 1 in d3

How many teams are in each division? And how many in each bracket?

It would be best to run in D2 for WCA. I'm sure you can hold your own if you're playing D3 in the states.
