Etha Air efficiency?

Is the bolt spring return makes Etha more efficient than a geo?

ei by using a spring instead of air .... should be more efficient no?

I mean purely from a theoretical point of view....

I only want to debate the design decision...

Cause if design wise, the spring is more efficient, i wonder if we will see a geo 3 with spring...i wonder if they regret not going that route 3 years ago when they introdruce geo1....

What I am really seeking for is opinions on the pros and the cons of the design choices...

Basically, no.

It isn't true that spring return bolts are more efficient than air return bolts. Because the spring is always trying to push the spring backwards, the air has to do more "work" to push the bolt forward against that spring pressure. That "work" comes in the form of using more air on the forward stroke than you would use if there was no spring there at all (i.e. in a fully pneumatic system).
