new player here, good deal?

Hey guys trying to get into the sport, came across a local CL ad and would like some input..

being an 03 impulse..is it already outdated? the other gun i was looking at getting was a proto SLG

may want to go a little newer there hoss. anything pre 06 can be prone to braking down unless they were taken VERY good care of. in my opinion, for a great starter gun, pick up a 2008-2011 Proto Matrix Rail, or maybe like an etek 2. I myself got into the game on a stock 2007 Proto matrix rail

I gotta disagree mister Pizza man. For someone starting out, that can be a good package. Emphasis on can. As long as the marker hasn't been dragged through the muck, it is probably fine. Ask to shoot it before paying. I'm not a fan of the halo due to weight - Imps are heavy enough as it is - and the crossfire is probably a steel tank, but OK to start.

Most likely a stock impulse which means he is asking too much.

It comes with a halo and a tank and that's overpriced? I'd say that's fair...not a great deal, certainly not overpriced though.

What I mean is, people usually offload what they deem to be junk by throwing together a package. Usually, everything is beat to heck.

Sometimes, everything is in very good condition making it a good deal.

If you want a good starter gun you might want to try something more simple with easier parts to find, personally if you can handle the weight go for it, ions on the other hand are pretty cheap now and certainly easy to find in a package, but no one can really answer for you. Cash wise I feel it's a tad high, make sure the tank is within hydro, the market holds pressure and the hopper still works ha
