We usually have 1-3 photographers at out events along with 1-2 videographer. Most opted out of this one due to weather conditions and illness, sorry.

It was fun to watch!!!

The drive was a bit much, especially right after getting off of an 11 hour shift...but the field was really nice and went above what I thought they would do by putting all the hay down in the mud spots.

great event though and I had a blast

Today is the 1st day I've had to get over to blizzard to pick up the new plaques. I'll try to get them in the mail tomorrow.

I bought all the straw I could find locally about 40 bales. I thought they all got spread but after the event I realized there were about 8 that didn't get spread. If I had known they were there I would of personally spread them where needed most. Unfortunately due to weather we couldn't bring the laptop to the score tent so it took one extra person to do scores. This was the 1st time we used the appa site to enter scores and I wanted to make sure they were done right. As the owner I usually like to be on the field as much as possible but this event I was unable to.

I actually love to Ref and run events. I guess I'm just sick that way. Lol...

After all said and done we probably lost money holding this event due to broke timmers, chronos, 2way radios, straw, grass seed, time raking up straw, rolling field, filling in ruts, etc And normal operating cost, etc. Lol However if everyone had a good time it was all worth it!!!

I hope we have the chance to hold another NCPA event with nicer weather.

I tried to rent a huge tent too but no one would rent me one due to 20+mph wind predicted.

Just curious.... We held event # 1 who's holding the rest of the events? Are the rest of the events indoor for the mwgl series? is this a fall/winter thing?

The *tentative* plan is an event in Chicago in November, an event in February at an indoor field to be determined, and a March event at CRU Paintball in Flint, MI.

So yeah, the remaining events are looking to be indoor.

Why would we have an event in chicago when no teams in the conference even are in the chicago area?

The goal is to have an inter-conference event where teams from MWGL, MWN, and MICT all come together to play. While the event is a bit farther drive for most, it's also the most central location between the three regions, and is not excessive for most.

well obviously. But what's the incentive to having a larger event, having us drive further and shoot more paint?

If you want to do a three conference tournament, then I'd consider someplace other than CLP. That's my home field in the winter and they only have one field. With 3 conferences worth of teams, we're going to be there until 10pm. trying to fit all the games.

3 Conferences would be way too many teams. I dont think there should ever be more than 16 teams if its a one day event. But yeah Plex and Warzone are great places for an event.
