$80 a case?

Standard Evil breaks just as good and it's $20-$30 cheaper. I honestly don't see how a better box, resealing and free standing bags warrant an overall $80 price tag. afterall, it's getting thrown in the trash after the days over with.

The only plus side I see for all the new things is for pump players. A premium grade paint with a resealable pouch would be nice. $20 for 500 rounds would last a pump player all day and that's not a bad deal.

So pretty much, speedball = bad. Pump play = good.

If you couldn't tell, I'm playing devil's advocate on myself.

Why is $80 a case so shocking and disappointing? Is eclipse did the same thing everyone here would be all over it.

Nice packaging, looks the break really nice, seems like it has a good shelf like, box looks sturdy incase you need to reuse it.

With a paint that comes well presented, and assuming it performs as well as advertised I don't see why $80 is outrageous. Would I rather it was $65-$70? Sure. But it's really not that expensive.

Regardless, $80 is a lot for a case of paint in a recession. The re-sealable bag is nice, but unnecessary for the price tag.

Dye makes everything flawless, I know the paint will be too. But it's the cost of paint like that keeps new players out of the sport.

While both ideas are not new by any means, its good to see them brought together. And that Sherridan paint shot well enough, and was cheap as hell. So I doubt that the packaging is driving cost here.

I always loved the old RPS "gator" balls...black shell with green fill. you can track them coming out of your gun, but they are very tough to see coming at you.

Recession doesn't mean thing should be cheaper, it means that not as many people can afford luxuries.

Also I don't think new players are the target market, new players will (like I used to) do everything they can to get a cheap case of whatever they get their hands on; atleast if your were a poor kid with no cash.

You´re probably right. Not available in the US because they cannot guarantee that it will make the journey OK and arrive in good shape.

I was glad you didn't say because it was made in Asia. They're not some giant 3rd world ****hole continent. Lots of places are in much greater condition than the cleanest and most technologically advanced of U.S. Cities, which is near where some of DYE's stuff is made anywho.

I disagree, only fan boys would be all over it.

Personally, I like my paint made by paint (predominantly) companies.. Makes me believe that they dont use a name/image to sell, just a quality product.

probably because the only plant they could use is in taiwan or some other asain country, correct me if im wrong but i believe the manufacturing plant in the states is owned by kee? if the paint were availible in the states i wonder how they would handle shipping across the US. cali is a far way to transport paint to my local field.

I'm pretty sure the black paint everyone is talking about was made from DXS or EVIL a couple years ago. I think they stopped using it because it was a disadvantage to the teams not using it. Since it really impossible to see it coming. Maybe thats why there keeping it overseas before they find a formula for the states. Just my 2 cents.

$80 isn't outrageous until you go to a psp event and shoot 50 cases of it. And considering this paint is marketed to competitive teams there's a real problem it's going to cost that much.

This however could mean dye wants to sponsor more teams and they'll look more desirable as a company now that they offer nice paint.
