I guess i will start this, what did you think of the DC Challenge?

This could be good or bad things. I am sure the NPPL will love all feed back.

I thought the event went well. There was some drama mixed in with really great action on the field and the pro finals coming down to a 1 on 1 was awesome.

Awsome turf! Great reffing. Wish there were more vendors. But can't complain 9 out of 10 for sure!

location and hotels...
the players behaving great.....
SOME ref's was on point and consistant...

DISLIKES:
lack of vendors..
live band...
people talking crap about people in the hill.....
SOME ref's did not belong on the field.....
the filed was on a inclined....

PEV's staff made this event run so smoothly! Big props to all of them! Turf was amazing! something as simple as air/chrono/field all in a line made games fly by and less stressful! Loved the free beer in the VIP after a long day of play! Could have used more gun companies...

thought the event was awesome. great refs, good idea using hoses all event on the bunkers, nice location.
for the people complaining about the incline on the field, i saw a gradual incline towards the center of the field. im sure this was for draining purposes only. this is one of the best setups out there and needs to be at a slight pitch to ensure longevity.

I hated having the band there and I understand that Pev is trying to make it fun for everyone and a family place but I was shocked when the singer dropped the F bomb while singing "what I got" lol

If it's me you're reffering to when you say "talking crap" I hope everyone realizes that I was only joking. I was teasing people in the grandstands too.

I don't care where people sit and if I had my way grandstand seating would be free.

Reffing on Field 2 was impressive! Fairest divisional reffing I've ever had. As for the pro refs...... I lol'ed hard when that ref pulled all those penalties on the wrong team in the Dynasty vs Avalanche game. like wtf? how do you screw that up? sure they ended up figuring it out and putting the penalties back on Dynasty who was supposed to get them in the first place. that's the first time I've ever seen something reversed that bad after a game was over. crazy.

Turf was nice, but the way field 2 had a "hump" in the middle was kinda retarded. If you started on the near side, it as a longer uphill, and the far side started as a little uphill too. I wish the field was flatter. The band also was a terrible idea to put so close to the field. The music was really loud during some of our games, which made communication on the field a pain at times. I wish there were more vendors, but I understand how it is nowadays with the economy and all.

Other than that, good event for my team.

field one ref's were a bit to harsh on the penalties, actually we didn't really get screwed by them but I saw a bunch of jumpy flags.

also the on field chrono (actually the whole chrono situation) sucked. we went from 280's on the off field chrono to 290's on the field one chrono to 340's on the handheld then back to 300-310 on the field chrono

after the game tom told us the test chrono's were just flat out wrong ( after I tuned 7 g6r's over them) and to set the guns up in the chrony station (you can imaging I was in the way re-tuning 7 guns) and they swapped the hand chrono on field one, or maybe they taught the ref how to use it, I do know those things are hard to get a straight reading out of but still a 50 point spike over the course of 30 seconds... anyways the ref gave us a 2 for 1 (haha after they had just said at the captains meeting if you got re-chronod over 300 then you have to sit... I understand a 50 point spike is excessive but given the situation maybe you could learn from this mistake and spend a grand on more shiny new red chrono's just for on field use)

it was a bummer for the team to start the event that way, at least you guys were a bit less trusting of the handhelds later on, I noticed teams that *****ed got to rechrono in the box but can't we just call that a failed test and buy some nice chronos? also if there is a field location like pev's and you are going to have people using their chrono's that you know give faulty readings maybe put a sign out that sais 'not an official chrono' or whatever, just so we dont assume that those are the correct ones that you have provided. we pissed through at least a case over the course of that morning just trying to make it so our guns wouldn't murder someone

Ummm no I didn't dummy... Greg is my buddy and I was actually making fun of his name. It was an inside joke that we talked about off camera.

His name is actually pronounced "See Weres" not "Sewers" it's everyone else that is mispronouncing it. If you don't believe me ask him...

I feel paying for grandstands isn't terrible if you aren't playing the event but if you are paying to be there already anyone with a players wristband and ID card should get free seating

Exactly! Players were gathering inside the pits area so they didnt have to pay for grandstand seating. We took 2nd at DC in D3 7-man and the winnings didnt come close to covering the cost to play. At the very least all players should get is the chance to watch the pros at the event they are playing without having to fork over more money.
