Hey all,
As some of you may know, I have been the SCCC Director for since Fall 2010. Effective next semester, I am resigning from the position. The NCPA will need somebody to fill in my position. I am reached easily and will put the necessary time in to help the new director understand his duties and expectations.
Minimum Expectations:
-Attend SCCC#4 (Feb 11, 2012) and SCCC#5 (Mar 3, 2012)
-100% effort in communication, organization, management, etc. The SCCC is one of the largest Class AA conferences, so slacking off at the expense of many teams is not acceptable.
-Must be from Texas (since most, if not all, events are in Texas)
"Perks:"
-Great development in leadership, management, communication, and organization skills. I am not kidding about this one. I have learned A LOT in 3 semesters.
-Great resume item that shows strong attributes (the skills mentioned in the point above)
-Spring 2012 will make for a great "trial run" since scheduling events is cut out for you. It will be like a "light load" director's job, which can cut out the stress in the learning curve.
-More Facebook friends because everyone wants to know you.
Let me know if you are interested and I will give you specific details on what exactly the job entails. It's been great working with all the teams, fields, and refs that I've worked with.

P.S. I will continue working on finalizing SCCC#4. I am not completely cutting off and ditching my responsibilities.
