Man, who cares? I personally wouldnt run any gun through the dishwasher and I know several people who have in the past and swear by it. Its like this, if your too lazy to take care of your equipment, the **** that makes your world worth living, anything and everything that goes wrong, "You Deserve".

Get off your *** and get it done, Your Honor, I rest my case.........lol.

There is glue in the dac. You should be able to unscrew the plug from the glue. Then you'll have to melt the glue out.

Have you done this before? How did you get a bite on the plug without breaking it?

Yea, I did this a few years back. I don't remember how exactly I got it out. Needle nose plyers possibly. Won't be home to look at the plug until Sunday but I'm doubting you will wait that long but I can confirm that it will screw out. The glue actually unscrewed from the dac too once warmed up.

Well this is interesting. Someone had mentioned a while back about there being TWO of NYX 001 guns out there. We'd seen the one in the appraisal thread lower on this page. A guy with the other one just PMed me asking about value. I had him send me pics, and indeed it's another blue NYX001. He says the previous owner just passed away and he's been asked to get appraisal values on his old gear, so no backstory on the gun.

I have a question about the EDM NYX's. I am vaguely familiar with the wire EDM process and machines, so how in the world do they use those for contours on the NYX? A wire EDM machine runs the wire down through or across the part, how does it make contours on it? Is it a different type of machine? The only ones i have seen can basically make very fine and accurate cuts in materials, not contoured X's and skulls lol

That's something I'd like to know more about, too. I can tell you that you can see the flat line marks on the EDM NYXes. For instance, look at the back of the gun in the above picture. The body has to gradually recess to the surface depth, so there are slight angular lines. See the little triangle at the back of the gun, kind of like the Puerto Rican flag?

I don't know if that helps you at all in your understanding, though.

Well, I did a quick search for it and found something called "small hole edm" which is essentially the same process as wire, but it uses a small electrode to actually drill into the piece and making holes without having to run the wire through a previously drilled hole.

Not sure if thats what was used on the NYX and just didnt go through all the way, but I thought it was interesting none-the-less.

Bones: Yeah, I noticed that. I heard them called "edm marks" a while back (probably by you) but never quite understood it.

edit: Also just picked up this little guy on ebay

http://www.ebay.com/itm/140607645959?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p398 4.m1423.l2649

$62 shipped I thought was a pretty good deal. No board though, ill have to pick one of those up soon i guess.

There is also a blue Toxic and a battleship (iirc) NYX on there too if anyone is interested

You are the bane of those of us who watch ebay actively, hoping no one will come here and say anything before the auction ends and the prices all get spiked.

I fear for this communitys future if you don't think people know how to type "dm3" or "matrix" into the search bar on ebay
Keeping mislisted stuff secret is a totally different matter though.

I agree with Vegard, the Toxic and NYX have been up for a few days I know, I think both are also listed her or on another pb forum, but I could be wrong.

That NYX in NJ is still available. I talked some sense into the kid and he's actually willing to ship it now that I don't have the money (figures). He told me $230 shipped, but I think I can get him a little lower.
