How many times is it safe to get your gun anodized? I just purchased a Macdev Clone off Nation and its got some scratches and some anno wear. When asking the previous owner how many times the gun had been anno'd before he said twice. This is one from factory, and one from the owner. I was told that you dont want to anno too much because it takes material away from the gun. But I dont want a marker with scratches and wear. Is it safe to get it anno'd again? Do I have any other options?

Your best bet is to email any of the anodizers in the Sticky list above and ask them.

It's really hard to say. No one knows how the first re-ano was done or who did it. Some guns have been done 5-6 times without issue because the anodizer was very careful about what they were doing and made sure to strip it carefully. I have also seen guns that were done very poorly and screwed up after 1 time being stripped and re-anodized.

Normally it will fall somewhere between the 2. So in short to answer your question. There is no absolute number of times, it's all dependent on what has been done to it in the past.
