2012 Paintball Extravaganza International Moves to Washington DC Area
After taking 2011 off from a scheduled Paintball Extravaganza, the industry's only wholesale tradeshow, will be moving to the National Conference Center in Leesburg VA which is located just outside of Washington DC.
Event dates are February 28, 29 - March 1, 2012
National Conference Center will be offering a new setting for the tradeshow which provides housing inclusive of breakfast and lunches along with discounted shuttle service from airport and free onsite parking. Facility is a short shuttle ride from Dulles Airport - Washington DC
Area provides countless opportunities including Washington DC, wineries, antiques and civil war sidetrips.
Preliminary planning and industry response is making the 2012 Paintball Extravaganza International the largest held. Watch for many exciting changes and additions to the event including many "added values" for stores and fields attending the event.
Store and field owners can't afford not to be at the 2012 "can't miss event" of the paintball industry.

Don't drive into DC. Make plans to use the metro and keep in mind how late it runs. It'll make the day so much easier and the trip that much more pleasant if you don't have to deal with retard drivers. National Harbor is exploding as of recent, not a bad place to check out. Also the standard touristy stuff like the Mall, etc. If you get hungry ask someone in a business suit where the best whatever it is you're craving is. Typically they won't steer you into an area of DC that requires an armed escort to get back out of.

Hang out with me obviously
There's a lot to do around here though. We have some great fields (Pevs and Hogback are located in leesburg).
Please do not try and drive in DC its horrendous even if you know where you are going. Take the metro.

If you want to shoot clays, you have Bull Run Park off Route 29. I think the Isaak Walton league in Leesburg might have a range as well. If you want to shoot handguns you have the Silver Eagle group (about a 10 minute drive from the National Conference Center...and just off Route 7), Blue Ridge Arsenal in Chantilly (about 20 minutes from the Conference Center) and the NRA headquarters in Fairfax (25-30 mins).
Lots of alternatives. From Leesburg, my recommendation is to drive into Falls Church and catch the Metro there or go to Fairfax/Vienna (both on the Orange Line) to get downtown if you're trying to see monuments.
I hear Farhan would like to volunteer to chauffeur all the Planet Eclipse personnel around while you're in town.

Farhan has already been hired!
Bull Run Park has also been recommended and looks like we'll almost certainly be checking it out whilst we're in town
Thanks for the info!

It's a great place to shoot. Several of my colleagues go there several times a month after work. Enjoy!

Pev's is excited that PB Extavaganza is coming to our town. As local host, we look forward to assisting the Extravaganza staff. Pev's is co-hosting with Visit Loudoun, the tourism division of Loudoun County, to provide a Welcome Aboard Cocktail Party at the Black Olive Sports Bar which is located in the Hotel & Conference Center.
The bar is huge and offers 3 Competition Dart Lanes, Pool Tables, 3 Wii Stations and much more. Pev's will also set up a Corn Hole game and offer a mini tournament. On Tuesday night, everyone who attends will receive a Free Drink Courtesy of Pev's and Visit Loudoun. Each night will offer a great time to relax and most importantly NETWORKING with Industry Giants.
Pev's has opened up our park for a tour and training day so field owners can see some of the ideas that has paid off for Pev's over the past 20 years. I am excited to share what did NOT work AND what DID work over my past 29 years in paintball. I am also excited to learn from other fields so we all my succeed.
In 2011 Pev's saw a 30% increase in new unique players which were mostly "Walk On Rentals". Attend the Pev's Business School and I will share with you the many great Marketing ideas that drove CRAZY amounts of NEW players to our field.
At my last field seminar in May 2011, all 30 Fields who attended all said they will make thier money back to attend my seminar just from the ideas they learned in one day. Mike from P&L Paintball has been in the field business for over 20 years and he too said he "Learned something new and could increase his revenue". I encourage every Field owner to attend the upcoming Seminar I am hosting at PB Extravaganza and you wont be disappointed.
See you all in Feb 2012!
